Three main areas were assessed: IA management, audit process, internal customer relations.

Bank Zachodni WBK- Santander Group

The assessment of the work of the Bank's Audit Department was based on the IIA (Quality Assessment Manual) methodology and was carried out in cooperation with experts from Spain assessing internal audit in the entire Santander Bank group.

The assessment and conclusions have become part of the whole group assessment. All aspects of the internal audit work were analyzed in accordance with IIA methodology.

The assessment of the work of the Audit Office was carried out in accordance with IIA (Quality Assessment Manual) methodology. The results of the assessment were discussed with the internal audit team and the Director of the Audit Office and presented to the President of PSE S.A.

Academy of Auditors IIA Poland

A 3-part training cycle for auditors with different experience.

Part one deals with the audit task process (from task planning to report preparation). The second part covers specialist audits: financial audit, performance audit, purchasing audit, fraud audit. The third part is: annual planning, audit sampling methods, psychology at the auditor's work, the nature of the auditor's work - i.e. an indication of how the risk-based audit differs from the audit system audit, how internal audit can support organizational governance.

The cycle is repeated every year.

Training program for directors of inspection units - commissioned by the Chancellery of the Prime Minister

The program included 3 editions of a 6-day course in function management and management of a single control task. He was associated with the entry into force of the law on control in government administration.

Annual Summaries - European Parliament

For funds under shared management, Member States established annual summaries ("of the available audits and declarations") for the first time for the year 2007. The study analyses and evaluates the value-added of the 2007 summaries. It concludes that, given the limited value-added of annual summaries in their current form, notably when compared to other existing reporting documents drawn up by Member States, the annual summaries should be developed further in view to instituting comprehensive national management declarations see more.

Study for the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management - Transparency

Study "Transparency of the activities of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management - analysis, evaluation, recommendations." The study was to improve the transparency of NFEPWM activities by identifying, analyzing and presenting proposals for eliminating possible non-transparent activities and risks of conflict of interest from the Fund's activities. During its implementation, our experts used, among others practices and solutions developed at the European Union level for structural funds, good OECD practices and Transparency International.

The report prepared as a result of the study and containing a number of recommendations was presented at a meeting of the Management Board of the NFEPWM.

Expertise for the World Bank regarding the certification of internal auditors

Expertise in training programs and certification for internal auditors in the public sector. It was co-financed by the World Bank and carried out in cooperation with the international Institute of Internal Auditors.
Our expert has carried out an analysis of selected programs and qualification requirements in countries such as Croatia, the Netherlands, Bulgaria and Lithuania, and has identified three basic models. Based on them, he developed a training framework for PEMPAL countries and proposed a path to implementation.

Comparative analysis regarding audit and institutional control for the State Audit Committee of the Parliament of the Republic of Poland

A comparative analysis of institutional audit and control in the US and EU countries, carried out at the request of the Chancellery of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland for the State Control Committee.
The main subject of the analysis was to compare the existence of the audit function and institutional control in the USA and EU countries, with particular emphasis on Great Britain, France, Germany and Italy. Our expert answered, among others to such questions as:

• Are there separate institutional audits and controls in the government administration structures of the EU and US?
• As it is anchored in the structures of government administration of the abovementioned countries audit, and how institutional control?
• What is the scope of tasks performed by the audit and institutional control?
• What is the scope of cooperation between audit and institutional control?

Expertise for the Ministry of Infrastructure and Development - a control system for EU funds

Its purpose was to prepare the assumptions for the control system of the Eastern Poland Operational Program for 2014-2020, with particular emphasis on developing effective mechanisms to prevent fraud, corruption and any other illegal activities affecting the financial interests of the Treasury and the EU budget.
A review of the procedures of the Intermediate Body and the Managing Authority of the Operational Program Development of Eastern Poland 2007-2013 was also carried out in the scope of control in terms of:

• the comprehensiveness of the procedures and their adequacy and effectiveness to verify the symptoms of fraud, including in public procurement (checklist in this respect),
  anti-corruption activities,
• fight fraud, prevent and detect irregularities.
