The European Parliament has been promoting the so-called National Management Declarations, i.e. statements of individual Member States on control systems and the use of EU funds for years. Four countries, i.e. Great Britain, the Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden, took such an initiative and voluntarily decided to prepare such declarations (statements).
This report summarizes the assessment of existing legal, institutional and organizational solutions and proposes improvements to the existing system.
Our experts, Konrad Knedler and Mirosław Stasik, in cooperation with EIPA (European Institute of Public Administration, www.eipa.eu) made their assessment based on interviews, surveys and analysis of documents from all European Union countries as well as the European and European Commission Court of Auditors.
The results of the work were presented by experts at the meeting of the Committee on Budgetary Control of the European Parliament and were published in the form of a report.
